About our Practice
Focus
Our focus is to help you heal from the past and live a trauma free life.
We can achieve this by using a variety of therapies such as EMDR, Tapping, and Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP). These three therapies are helpful to process trauma at a subconscious level. In combination with this therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness can help you regulate your emotions and better manage anxiety. We have helped hundreds of clients who have a diagnosis or symptoms of PTSD/CPTSD to find lasting relief from their symptoms.
We also also specialise in general counselling, couples therapy and dealing with phobias.
About the Founder
Dirk Francke is the founder of Specialist Training and Counselling Services. As a professional counsellor with over 14 years industry experience, he has opened up his own practice to help as many people as he can, allowing them to set themselves free from the wounds of the past.
Dirk specialises in treating various psychological issues like Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Anger, Behavioural Issues, Phobias, Depression and Trauma. He has treated clients with trauma symptoms caused by rape, torture, kidnapping, accidents, bullying and neglect.
As his business grew, he surrounded himself with a team of likeminded professionals who are person centered in their practice, and just as passionate as he is to see people set free from suffering.
Services
We offer face to face and online counselling, as well as quality training courses such as Anger Management and Behaviour Modification Programs to various organisations including schools and workplaces.

Since the advent of COVID19 we primarily offer Telehealth via Zoom or other suitable platforms. Upon request clients can be seen in person at rooms in Berwick or Frankston by some of the team who offer this option.
